ICSE Class 10 Exam Starts From February 26 2018

On January 10 2018, The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination released the class 10 and 12 examination dates. This year, the ICSE examination will start on February 26 and the same will come to an end on March 28. The ISC examination will begin on February 7 and come to an end on April 2, 2018.

One of the most significant changes in ICSE examination is the change in the passing marks for the class 10 and class 12 students.  From this year onwards, CISCF has brought a change in the passing marks for students.  There has been an update in ICSE pass marks from 35 percent to 33 percent and for ISC has changed from 40 percent to 35 percent.

After releasing the date sheet, the board informed that there might be some changes in the dates of the examinations on the basis of the declaration of election dates by the Chief Election Commissioner of India for the States.

February 26-English Paper I
February 27-Mathematics
Feburary 28- Commercial Studies
March 5- English Paper 2 (Literature in English)

March 9- Second Language which includes the languages like Khasi, Kannada, Mizo, Lepcha, Malayalam, Marathi, Manipuri, Odia, Nepali, Sanskrit, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu, Bengali, Assamese, Garo, Gujarati, Dzongkha. It also includes Modern Foreign Language which includes Chinese, Arabic, German, French, Korean, Modern Armenian, Spanish, Thai and Tibetan.

March 10- Art paper I
March 12-Geography Paper II
March 14-Hindi
March 16-Physics Paper I
March 17- Art Paper 2
March 19- Chemistry- Paper 2
March 21-Economics

March 23-Group III Elective like Commercial Applications, Carnatic Music, Cookery, Drama, French, Economic Applications, Environmental Applications, Designing, Hindustani Music, Home Science, Indian Dance, Physical Education, Spanish, Western Music and Yoga.

March 24- Art paper 3
March 26-Biology
March 27-Art Paper 4
March 28-Environmental Science.

For reading the question paper, the board will allow the students to read the question paper for 15 minutes.  Hence, the question paper will be given to the candidates at 10:45 am and they can start writing at 11 am.
