Volvo XC60 In India

The much awaited XC60 premium SUV has been launched by Volvo India today in India.  The ex-showroom price is Rs 55.90 lakhs. Initially, the car will be available in one variant only. The car will be delivered to India next year. Based on the company’s latest Scalable Product Architecture (SPA) platform, the product comes in Inscription variant and you will get loads of features in the car.  The older version of this car was on sale in India since 2011 and the new car is the second generation Volvo XC60 which has replaced the older version of this car. The Audi Q5, BMW X3, Jaguar F-Pace, Lexus NX30h are the rivals of the new Volvo XC60.

From the point of view of powering, there is a 1,969 cc four cylinder twin turbocharged disel engine which has the capacity to churn out a 233 bhp at 4000 rpm. A peak torque of 480 Nm is developed at 1750-2250 rpm. There is 8-speed Geartronic automatic transmission that comes out from the oil burner and it is sent to all the four wheels. While doing the review of the car, the same has been found as an excellent quality. This car is coupled with petrol engines like T5 and T6 and there is an entry-level diesel motor D4. All these are 2 litre turbocharged units. While these options are not available in India right now but according to Volvo the engine options will soon be available in India and the petrol version will be launched later. Presently, one can get The Volvo XC60 with the diesel version only.

When compared with the earlier model of this car on the basis of the appearance, the new model looks more stylish and it has been designed following the designs of the company’s flagship SUV. Styled with multi-slat chrome grille, there is a pair of stylish LED headlamps. Daytime running lamps can also be seen in this model.

While the wheel base in this model is of 2865 mm, it measures 4688 mm in length, 1902 mm in width and 1658 mm in height. A bold shoulder line along with prominent character lines can be seen in this model. There are many features available in this car like sensus touchscreen system, 360 degree camera, blind spot assist, lane depature warning, adaptive cruise control.
