Let the Common Man Fly
Prime Minister Narender Modi inaugurated the first flight under government subsidy from Delhi to Shimla. This flight inaugurate as a named of Udan Flying Scheme whose fares started from Rs. 2000.
Udan stands for Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik, this kind of scheme is only to connect small towns by air.
This flight scheme initiated by Air India and after including taxes one ticket costs 2,036. During booking seats will be sold cheap on a first-come-first-served basis, the rest will be quite steep. It means all seats are not under government subsidy. Remaining seats will be charged as single trip 13000 to 19000 per seat and round trip cost round trip cost you around 26000 to 38000 if you delayed the booking.
Toady that means on Thursday 27th April 2017 first flight boarding cards to passengers at The Shimla Airport. For this scheme responsible officials already attend their final meeting on it.
This scheme has been launched by putting a aim to connect small towns with airlines for upcoming 10 years. This would be achieved only if State & Central Government will provide funding to interested airlines to initiate with this scheme to make it more convenient in terms of fares which offer by these airlines to passengers.
Center Government already take a initiative by reducing the VAT for interested airlines. State governments will have to lower the VAT on jet fuel to 1% or less and other essential things like water electricity, fire services and security on free or subsidize rates. Also eliminate the charges which imposed by airport operator such as landing, parking and terminal navigation landing charges.
All we can say that this scheme of government “Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik” providing cheap air fares for middle class group of people. This will make air travailing more convenient. But in this both Center ans State government took step to attract airline to invest.
