The legendary actor Sridevi passed away on Saturday night following a cardiac arrest. Her brother-in-law confirmed the demise of the great actor. Sridevi was 54 years old. The whole family was attending a wedding ceremony of Mohit Marwah in UAE. While attending the ceremony, Sridevi succumbed to death. The incident happened between 11 to 11:30 pm. As per Sanjay Kapoor, he just landed in Mumbai when the news of sudden demise of Sridevi poured in. He is flying back to Dubai again to attend the whole family.

Sridevi is well known as a legendary actor of Bollywood. Before putting her steps to Bollywood, she worked in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam films. She was born as Shree Amma Yanger Ayyapan. Sridevi started her career in the late 1960s. She won the state award for best child artist for her wonderful performance in Malayalam film Poombata (1971).
In Bollywood, she made her debut as a child artist in Julie that was released in 1975. She played her first adult role when she was 13 years old in Moondru Mudichu, a Tamil film that got released in 1975. She had been recognized as one of the biggest stars that India ever produced. She got Padma Shri award from the government of India in 2013 Some of the remarkable films are Chandni, Sadma, ChaalBaaz,Himmatwala, Nagina, Mr. India, Tohfa, Mawali and Gumrah.

The entire nation seems to be extremely shocked at Sridevi’s demise. The nation has expressed grief and condolences over the death of this veteran actor. The Chief Minister of West Bengal, has expressed her grief through her Twitter handle. She said she is extremely saddened at the sudden demise of the actor.
According to Rajnikanth, Sridevi was a born actor and this is a big loss for the industry. Rajnikanth shared a great friendship with the actor.
Asha Bhosle said that she is very sad to hear about the demise of Sridevi. She expressed her grief and condolences to her family.
