Students to be well equipped skillfully

The new age students need to be equipped with strong skills needed to become careful evaluators of various information’s. This year is expected to have an increase in both instruction and assessment on areas of digital literacy, media literacy and also civic education. Students will be asked to critically evaluate information and sources to discovery which is the vital quality for a relevant content. They will also be exposed to new types of information and will be invited to ‘show what they know’ through evidencing and content curating

Blended environments of community learning

The concept of ‘classroom’ has been shifting in recent years with dedication to purposefully designed learning spaces with seamless enhancement of technologies. This year will see the expanded classroom walls, for better emphasis on community outreach and blended learning. Mobile learning technology would be enhanced, with more interactions in online discussion forums and interactive multimedia experiences. The concept of anywhere, anytime learning will be increased so that the will be integrated more on the fluidly with in-class instruction and the students will have more opportunities for making real-world connections with learning through outreach, community connections and global collaborations

The Formative assessment to support learning

The teachers would now aim for explicit outcomes and will find strategic ways to incorporate formative assessment into learning experiences. Feedback systems and self-assessments will be used to inform instruction, assisting the students for better understanding of learning goals. Formative assessment in instruction will also be paired with emphasis on intrinsic motivation with shifts from focus on grades to focus on learning with differentiation and dedication to mastery for all

Parents to be their best friends

Now the involvement of parents in the success of a student will be different, as teachers would work to find ways to engage all families through supportive and personalized technologies with practice. Schools will concentrate on building home school connections for learning, including parents as partners through surveys, parent interviews, and invitations to join as valued contributors. Advanced technologies will also support parent engagement through visual workflow applications topping up with learning management systems development, for further parent participation.
